BrightGate
Brightgate is local/international/global bridge for transmitting light values between personal computers, in which an unusual dependancy is created between sender and receiver. The brightness via the webcam of the sending computer is used to control the brightness of the screen of the receiving computer.
In collaboration with Hanna Sender and Annie Goh.

Take the Weather Inside
Sunshine, clouds, rain, heat or cold, in one way or another, everyone is influenced by the weather.
If we are inside a room, windows serve as a connection between us and the weather. Through our windows, we see wind playing with the leaves, rainy streets or people enjoying the summer heat. Through these indicators, we are able to tell the weather conditions by a single glance out of our windows.
To give us a more specific idea of the current weather, we developed precise instruments like the thermometer that transform the weather conditions into processable data.
"Take the Weather Inside" visualizes the data gathered by these instruments through the weather indicators beyond our windows.
A self engineered wind engine is used to measure the wind strength outside. The data gathered by this instrument is transmitted to an object inside that transforms the information into a visual output (e.g. flipping pages of a book represent the wind strength).
3D Seismograph
This self engineered seismograph is used as an instrument to measure the vibration of a washing machine. The instrument registers the vibrations of the washing machine and transmits them to a wire. Through the wire the seismograph burns the information received to a forward moving foam cylinder and thus produces a seismographic timeline. Developed under the main topic 'measuring data in your flat'.

Interactive Sketchbook
In addition to collect and record drawings, The Interactive Sketchbook enables the designer to work together, with his sketchbook or let the Sketchbook inspire him to new ideas, in addition to simply collecting his drawings, The project is centered around the idea of enriching
the creative process by allowing interaction between the designer and his sketchbook.
Extended POP-UP
By interacting with the POP-UP the scene shown in the house
is changing. The fixed straps outside the house are used to navigate through the scenes.
Remote Control
A gadget to visualize the function of a volume control.
By stacking cubes one cube on top of another, the volume turns one step higher and vice versa. The project was realized with the open-source electronics prototyping platform Arduino.
